JrGooNer
This thread is to help out people like me who are still relatively new to boxing or are just looking for new fighters to collect.. or even just can't remember a certain fighter's name and need help finding them again.. Post what you like in a fighter eg. come forward style, heavy handed, speed and what you don't like eg. boring defensive style, point grabber.. And other people can recommend you prospects or maybe fighters from the past who they think you might like to check out :boxing: Maybe nobody will ever bother using it especially because some people don't like to admit they don't know everything lol but maybe 1 person will find it useful and that's enough. At the very least it might become a good thread to divide fighters into categories:peace:

JrGooNer
Re: Find me a fighter Being new to boxing why don't you kick us off JrGooner. What do you like to see in a fighter? Yeh Ok I am actually on the lookout for some new stuff to download. I wouldn't mind finding a new fighter to collect who is/was a technical and skilled boxer but who takes/took risks for a good show. Just downloaded all Oscar's fights so someone around that era or just after might be cool.. I know there were loads of cool Mexicans around that time but I still haven't seen many other than Margarito, ..

For that era and a rival to Oscar - try Felix Trinidad, a talented boxer with big power. He was also susceptible to being knocked down. Held a title at Welterweight for a long time before him and Oscar met in a controversial clash.

Nazeem Hamed was fun to watch and entertaining inside and outside the ring. If you can get hold of his dvd's there very good. Below is a very good DVD. Not sure if the downloads still on the forum. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTAwWDM1Mw==/z/mcEAAOSwCypWoe3w/$_35.JPG?set_id=8800005007

There is an English fighter who mimics Hamed, sure he is also from the same gym but don't quote me on that. Can't remember his name - brain freeze. Sure iamasadlittleboy knows who am I on about? Canelo
Re: Find me a fighter To be frank , I have never liked slow and defensive boxer, Quite few boxer in the boxing arena are so defensive that their fights are not real fights but tactful collection of points. Slow games i bloody hate watching...thats why i goto youtube to see highlights of any boxing match. I am huge fan of speed irrespective of power. I am huge fan of southpaw Manny Pacquiao, his speed of punches is something I love.
