WelshDevilRob
Tua opponent not paid Michigan heavyweight Demetrice King says he still hasn’t been paid for his fight last weekend against David Tua. King is due $10,000 for his ten round decision loss to Tua in Manukau, New Zealand. According to the New Zealand Herald, the hangup is a dispute between NYC-based promoter Cedric Kushner and and NZ promoter Inga Tuigamala. King signed a Gotham Boxing contract for the bout so Kushner appears to be on the hook, but Cedric told the Herald he had no financial involvement in the fight and signed King on the instructions of Tuigamala, trusting Tuigamala to take care of King’s purse. Tuigamala, who is Tua’s cousin, says it’s a “contractual issue” between King and Kushner. Meanwhile Demetrice King waits.
