Joe Ko
Really hope this gets made, Rhodes is alot better than Matthew Hatton. I could actually see Rhodes pulling off a win, he is still quick and hits hard. Alveraz is wide open and Rhodes is also a great counter puncher. WelshDevilRob
I honestly don't rate Rhodes at this level - I just don't think he has the chin for it. Happy he's getting his chance as he has done well in recent years.
grapevine241
rhodes will get pummeled. in fact i expect him to do far worse than hatton.
The Dynamic Hispanic
Rhodes is pretty ancient but if he can survive early on I could see a possibly grinding down of Canelo. His fight with Moore was rather exciting.
Skav
Since the fight is taking place in Mexico the odds will be even more stacked against him than they are now. He'll have to win by stoppage, but I do think he'll go the distance when he loses.
Ton
I like Ryan Rhodes, but he'll be out of his depth here. It's not by coincidence that he aint had a world title shot for well over 10 years, and he has been beaten by the unsensational Gary Lockett. Nice bloke though, he should keep Kel Brook in check in the future as well.
The_budweiser
we seem to have 2 posts running for alvarez v rhodes copy pasted mines over I think if Rhodes comes up with the right game plan he may cause Alvarez a lot more problems that Hatton. Alvarez more the fight went on with Hatton his hands dropped more and more, as there were tiring. Alvarez looked more dangerous early on v Hatton when he let his heavy hands then they got weaker more the fight went on. If rhodes can move a lot in the early rounds counter punching and come on strong at the end when Alvarez tires he may make it to a points decision but whether he'll get the decision in Mexico is another thing. I wonder if Rhodes experience will give him the upper hand ? Alvarez SD
McBride
I met Rhodes at a show in Reading with Junior Witter a few years ago supporting Esham Pickering, both him and Witter seemed nice guys so I wish him all the best. I just cant see him taking too many good shots though tbh.
