Peterson, 29, won both the IBF and WBA Light Welterweight titles back in 2011 with a controversial split decision win over Amir Khan in a fight which saw the Brit deducted two points for repeatedly pushing his American counterpart. Controversy continued to surround the fighter when in May 2012 he tested positive for synthetic testosterone in the run up to his rematch with Khan. Peterson later admitted that the procedure was carried out in November, meaning the testosterone capsules were in his body prior to his first fight with Khan which saw the former Olympic silver medallist reinstated by the WBA. WelshDevilRob
Re: Big time boxing returns to Washington - Lamont Peterson vs Dierry Jean Seen comments that if Petersen wins he'll get a shot at Danny Garcia - that's not a fight I want to see. So hoping Jean pulls off the win.
iamasadlittleboy
Re: Big time boxing returns to Washington - Lamont Peterson vs Dierry Jean Really difficult to give a crap about this one. Peterson has inherited the mantle of "luckiest champion" from Rocky Martinez.
