Million Dollar Crolla stopped the former WBF featherweight champion in three rounds in an impressive display. It was only Brodie's second fight since returning after more than four years away from the ring and raises serious questions as to whether he should continue to fight. Despite making a triumphant return against Mark Alexander in August, Brodie divided opinions as to whether he should box on. Floored twice in the first three rounds against Alexander, he proved he still has both the punching power and box office appeal to wow crowds, knocking out his opponent in the fourth. But Crolla was always going to be a different proposition. One of the rising stars in Manchester, his ascent came to an abrupt halt when losing to Gary Sykes in a British super featherweight title eliminator in May. The 23-year-old bounced back with victory against Jon Baguley in September, but was taking on a massive gamble when coming up against Brodie at this stage of his career. Crolla proved it was a gamble worth taking with such an impressive display against one of the most exciting British boxers of his generation, sending Brodie to the canvas before the fight was stopped. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/boxing/s/1184380_brodie_future_in_doubt_after_defeat
